“Recaro Supplier Award 2014” goes to Mack Alu-Systeme GmbH

Mack Alu-Systeme GmbH meets this standard to a very high degree. Recaro Aircraft Seating is thus recognizing the company with the “Recaro Supplier Award 2014.” The specialist for aluminum processing based in Geisslingen, Germany, manufactures products ranging from individual modules to complex assembly groups for the aircraft seat supplier. “Mack Alu-Systeme has already accompanied Recaro Aircraft Seating for a long time as a cooperative and reliable partner,” explains Christoph Schürhoff, Director Purchasing at Recaro Aircraft Seating. “The company not only convinces through extensive technological expertise, but also by contributing innovative ideas and alternative approaches to our current seating projects. With consistent delivery performance, a strong project management and high quality standards, Mack Alu-Systeme has gone above and beyond what it takes to earn this award.”

The final round also included the companies Data-Matique (Garland, Texas/USA) and Bertrandt AG (Ehningen, Germany). These three companies were chosen from among the 100 most important Recaro suppliers around the world. Selection for the award is based on continuous assessments carried out by Recaro Aircraft Seating, which it uses to regularly monitor the quality of supplied products, on-time delivery, and overall efficiency.

The award was presented as part of the sixth Recaro Aircraft Seating Global Supplier Conference. The theme of the conference this year was “Supply Chain – Fit for the Future”. On the day before the Aircraft Interiors Expo 2014, 150 supplier representatives, including companies from Europe, South Africa, China, and the United States, discussed future opportunities and challenges of global supply chains in the aircraft industry. Guest speaker Prof. Dr. Ronald Bogaschewsky of the Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg, Germany, spoke about the role the supply chain plays for a company and why high-performance suppliers are so important. “With this conference we offer our suppliers a space for direct exchange and interaction with all of the different Recaro functions,” explains Joachim Ley. “The constructive discussions during and around the workshops led to many innovative impulses and concrete proposals for further successful cooperation.”
