RECARO AIRCRAFT SEATING POLSKA CELEBRATES 20 YEARS IN ŚWIEBODZIN
Growth journey continues for the facility with an expansion project scheduled for completion in Q3 2026.
The anniversary was celebrated on July 6 with a special event attended by members of the global RECARO management team from all production sites, local authorities, business partners, and employees. The evening featured a formal dinner accompanied by live music, recognizing the achievements of the Świebodzin team and celebrating the site's longstanding contribution to the global success of RECARO.
“As we celebrate 20 years of RECARO Aircraft Seating Polska, we reflect with pride on the dedication, expertise, and excellence that have shaped the site since 2006,” said Dr. Mark Hiller, CEO and Shareholder of RECARO Aircraft Seating and CEO of RECARO Holding. “I want to extend thanks to our colleagues, partners, and loyal customers who have played a pivotal role in this success. With the ongoing expansion, I am confident the team in Świebodzin will continue supporting our customers and contributing to the growth of RECARO for many years to come.”
The anniversary comes at a significant moment in the facility’s history as RECARO Aircraft Seating Polska continues its expansion project, scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2026. The investment will significantly increase production capacity, enabling the site to support future business growth and increasing customer demand.
Since its establishment in 2006, RECARO Aircraft Seating Polska has grown from a small production operation with only a few employees to nearly 800 colleagues today. Over the past two decades, the facility has produced more than 615,700 seats and currently manufactures up to 60,000 seats annually. Upon completion of the expansion project, annual production capacity will increase to 100,000 seats.
Today, RECARO Aircraft Seating Polska is a key production site for the company's R1, R2, and R3 economy class seat platforms and provides in-house dress cover capabilities. As the only aircraft seat manufacturer in Poland and one of four RECARO production facilities worldwide, the site plays a pivotal role in supporting the company’s global manufacturing footprint.
"Since 2006, we have continuously strengthened our capabilities and delivered high-quality seating solutions to our customers," said Michał Nowicki, General Manager at RECARO Aircraft Seating Polska. "Celebrating our 20th anniversary while expanding the facility makes this milestone even more special, and we look forward to many more years of supporting our customers and contributing to the success of RECARO."
Over the past 20 years, RECARO Aircraft Seating Polska has remained an active member of the Świebodzin community, creating local employment opportunities and supporting educational, charitable and community initiatives.
