At the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg, March 27 to 29, 2012, Recaro is presenting a product portfolio that is perfectly tailored to the needs of airlines.

The focus here is on the efficiency and cost effectiveness of the products – throughout the entire product life-cycle of the seats. Recaro Aircraft Seating offers airlines the ideal product for every purpose and all cabins in the economy class – from short-haul to ultra-long-haul flights. An international profile
This globally operating company, which has more than a century of experience in mobile seating, has been producing premium aircraft seats for more than 40 years. Today, Recaro Aircraft Seating ranks among the world’s top three aircraft seat manufacturers. In the area of economy class seats, Recaro is the global market leader: In 2011 one out of every three new economy class seats worldwide came from Recaro Aircraft Seating.

Recaro Aircraft Seating operates four production plants in Germany, Poland, South Africa and the US. The company has also four Recaro Service Centers and 15 representatives in Europe, the Middle East, America, Asia and Australia. To strengthen its leading position on the international market, the company plans to expand its worldwide capacities at all locations. Furthermore, Recaro is building a new plant in Qingdao, China. The first delivery of seats to Chinese customers is planned for 2013.

Approximately 1,500 employees are currently developing, manufacturing and marketing seats for passenger aircraft by Airbus and Boeing, as well as for all leading airlines worldwide. In 2010 the German company achieved sales of 288 million Euros. By the year 2016, the international workforce will grow to roughly 2,200, with an annual sales target of 500 million Euros.
