Schwaebisch Hall, Germany. The international jury for the “red dot award: product design 2012” was delighted by Recaro Aircraft Seating’s Basic Line 3520 aircraft seat. As one of the best designs of the year, the Recaro economy class seat has received the “red dot award”, the world’s most prestigious design award.

Qatar Airways chooses the Recaro CL3620

Schwaebisch Hall/Berlin, Germany. Qatar Airways and Recaro Aircraft Seating signed a contract for the delivery of several thousand Comfort Line 3620 seats for the airline’s B787 and A350 fleets. At the travel trade show ITB Berlin from March 7 to 11, 2012, the seats are being presented to the public for the first time.

Axia-Award 2011 goes to Recaro Aircraft Seating

Schwaebisch Hall/Stuttgart, Germany. Recaro Aircraft Seating has received the 2011 “Fit for Tomorrow – Efficient and Flexible Corporate Management” Axia-Award. The prize for medium-sized businesses awarded by accounting firm Deloitte recognizes companies that demonstrate a clear strategic direction combined with efficient and flexible controlling, in addition to consistently breaking down and communicating these objectives to each and every company employee. The management of the aircraft seating designer and manufacturer accepted the honor at an award ceremony at the Hotel Méridien in Stuttgart on February 8, 2012.

Milestone A320 with Recaro inside

Schwaebisch Hall/Hamburg, Germany. On January 20, 2012, Middle East Airlines (MEA) took delivery of the 5,000th A320 aircraft manufactured by Airbus. On its maiden flight, the landmark aircraft took off with business class seats from Recaro Aircraft Seating.

SAS orders Recaro BL3520 seats

Schwaebisch Hall, Germany. Swedish carrier SAS Scandinavian Airlines is banking on the seat comfort of Recaro Aircraft Seating. The airline has ordered 1.484 economy class seats from the Schwaebisch Hall-based manufacturer. The first batch is to be delivered in early 2012.
