RECARO AIRCRAFT SEATING R1 AND R2 SEATS TAKE INAUGURAL FLIGHT ON KLM A321NEO
SCHWAEBISCH HALL, GERMANY, AUGUST 27, 2024 – RECARO Aircraft Seating (RECARO) was selected by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (KLM) in 2022 to equip the cabins of their new A321neo aircraft with R1 and R2 seats. Seat deliveries began in 2023, and today, passengers had the opportunity to experience the new cabin during the inaugural flight from Hamburg to Amsterdam.

Schwaebisch Hall, Germany, July 19, 2024 – RECARO Aircraft Seating was selected by long-term partner Alaska Airlines to retrofit their Boeing 737-800 and MAX 8 aircraft with the award-winning R2 economy class seat and R5 business class seat. This will include 79 aircraft in the Alaska fleet for a total of 12,719 PAX with deliveries scheduled to begin in Q4 2024.

Hamburg, Germany, May 27, 2024 – At the Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) 2024, RECARO Aircraft Seating is introducing a new seat naming strategy more closely aligned with the iconic RECARO brand. The new names, ranging from R1 to R7, reflect the various classes and complexities of the seating solutions. The booth will also feature the Crystal Cabin Award finalist, the R Sphere sustainable seat innovation, as well as a business class seat outfitted with smart technology and a comprehensive product overview.
