New construction of Recaro’s logistics center strengthens company development

SCHWAEBISCH HALL, Germany. Recaro Aircraft Seating is investing 13.5 million euros in its headquarters in Schwaebisch Hall for the new construction of a logistics center with over 6,000 square meters of usable space. The new building is part of a comprehensive plant structure plan with numerous investments in buildings, equipment and infrastructure. The start of construction was honored with a groundbreaking ceremony on November 24, 2016. The logistics center will be ready by the end of 2017.

Recaro equips short and medium-haul aircraft from TAP with SL3510 and BL3530 seats

SCHWAEBISCH HALL, Germany / LISBON, Portugal. TAP, the leading Portuguese airline, is updating cabin equipment for its short and medium-haul aircraft with seats from Recaro Aircraft Seating, the German aircraft seat manufacturer. To date, some aircraft out of the 41 A320 family included in the retrofit program from the company’s Airbus fleet have been equipped with Recaro’s SL3510 and BL3530 seats. Recaro is delivering over 6,600 lightweight seats to the Star Alliance member for cabin retrofitting of its A319, A320 and A321 aircraft.

Recaro wins DIN Prize in the Best Practice category

SCHWAEBISCH HALL, Germany. Recaro Aircraft Seating, the German aircraft seat manufacturer, was honored with an award in the Best Practice category in the context of the 2016 DIN Prize competition. The company was awarded the prize for “a significant increase in quality and consistent implementation of the latest ISO GPS standards (geometrical product specification and testing) through its geometrical tolerances and the development of a measurement strategy”. The prize was presented in Berlin on November 3, 2016, during the awards ceremony.
