Verification Engineer II 

Overview

The Verification Engineer II will be responsible for working with the internal program team, installers, suppliers, FAA/EASA and designees to research and to plan and execute large and small scale certification programs.

 Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Responsibilities

The primary duties include: develop and execute certification programs using dynamic impact analysis, dynamic and static testing of seats and seat installations and related engineering concepts, and knowledge of applicable Federal Aviation Administration regulations to solve a wide-range of problems; work as part of the platform program team with FAA designees in developing certification basis and certification plans; interface with regulatory agencies (FAA/EASA/Other) for coordination and approvals; represent the Company to airline customers, OEM's (original equipment manufacturer), FAA/EASA, suppliers and internal program team on technical matters related to the project, technical specialty and to ensure timely project completion; maintain accurate and up-to-date verification records to ensure that products meet FAA/EASA and other requirements; provide Risk Management reviews, surface issues in real-time and provide risk assessment impact; manage Vendor testing and adherence to schedule to support final certification; review certain (E)TSO Compliance documents, study product verification processes and confer with management to determine verification objectives and standards.; and track verification activities and test results while adhering to processes. This is not a supervisory role.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering, or closely related Engineering field. Must have 3 years' progressive post- Bachelor's experience in the offered position or a similar position such as Certification Engineer with experience in certification programs testing of aircraft seats and seat installations under applicable Federal Aviation Administration regulations.
