Finance Manager



Financial and accounting support to operations of the company, in the areas of performance analysis, resources management, strategic planning, budgets and forecasts. Management of the finance and accounting functions, information and staff. Responsibilities will include monthly close and financial reporting and analysis, forecasting and annual budgeting. Additional duties will include financial controlling of customer projects, ad hoc analysis and other analysis as determined by management.


  • Manage the monthly close and financial reporting process and update a standard reporting package to Company Headquarters. 
  • Work with management and headquarters to develop a 5-Year financial planning of the company, including a detailed budget planning for one year and a 5-year outlook. 
  • Provide a framework of effective internal controls for the organization.
  • Generating, analyzing, interpreting and managing financial information as it relates to the company.
  • Responsible for coordination of external financial audits.
  • KPI reporting and tracking for DSO, DPO, ROS, WCOS
  • Analyzing business processes in place and giving recommendations, improvements and assisting in the implementation of changes in coordination Company Headquarters.
  • Updating of various internal forecast tools and development of the quarterly forecast package.
  • Support in financial reporting of customer programs in coordination with the responsible program managers. 
  • Analyze business cases / special project proposals. Recommend alternate options.
  • Support sales offers with costed BOMs for different product variants including determination of overhead rates.
  • Support work with Purchasing to optimize material cost by pricing analysis and target costing methods.
  • Manage, coach, develop and mentor the Finance team.



  • BS or BA in Accounting, Business or equivalent. 
  • MBA or MS is a plus.
  • SAP experience
  • Aerospace industry experience a plus


  • Total of five to eight years of the following requirements:
  • Finance and Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Experience interfacing with management and staff, relative to financial statements, inventory and product cost. 
  • Management of monthly financial close cycle meeting tight deadlines
  • Ability to read and interpret financial statements including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cashflow statement.
  • Experience in a highly computerized environment, including mainframe based manufacturing and general ledger systems, and pc-based models.
  • Experience managing professional and clerical staffs preferred.

Additional Experience:

  • Prior responsibility for the finance and accounting functions of a manufacturing plant in a decentralized reporting structure with central financial consolidation. 
  • Project Management cost accounting
  • Working knowledge of current PC software in the Windows environment.
  • Communication skills in all facets of business.
  • Be able to prioritize and complete multiple tasks on time.
