Prototype Technician I

Overview

Support the Prototype Lab in day to day and new project activities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Prototype, Sales, and CDR Seats in developing new seats and/or parts. 
  • Building proto-type or mock-ups with aluminium, steel, wood, foam board. 
  • Will be responsible to maintain Tool Check-out Program, and other related new programs and procedures as they are developed.  
  • Build/rebuild development test seats and test fixtures.
  • All work must meet quality craftsmanship and blueprint tolerances when specified.
  • Must be able to work well with hand tools (files, sanding, painting, wrenches, air tools, etc.)
  • Maintain clean organized working environment, ensuring that accountability for tooling and material is maintained. 
  • Assisting in new design projects providing necessary support to meet completion dates.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Creative mind set to help develop new concepts
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment
  • Open minded, willing to learn, and must be okay with constant change.
  • Good attendance record
