YOUR TASKS

  • Collecting and unifying specific know-how on composites and responsibility for the continuous transfer of knowledge at all locations worldwide
  • Evaluation of innovative composites technologies, their processes, surfaces and finishes
  • Advising specialist departments on product design when using new technologies within projects
  • Ensuring preliminary tests in cooperation with the testing, approval and affected design departments in accordance with the qualification plan or specification and, if necessary, deriving, implementing and monitoring optimization measures
  • Planning and budgeting all material-related innovation projects and supporting the prioritization and management of research and evaluation activities for use in projects
  • Conducting material and process research to investigate, test and document composite technologies, their processing methods and coatings
  • Responsibility for the process maturity of new technologies
  • Establishing and maintaining a network of research institutions, material suppliers, prototype and part suppliers

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in aerospace engineering or materials science, alternatively a comparable degree with a specialization in composites
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in the field of composites
  • Good project management skills
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
  • Strong interest in building up know-how and passing on acquired knowledge as part of projects or training courses
  • Strategic thinking and strong problem-solving skills
  • Systematic and careful way of working
  • Ability to make decisions

  • Goal and results driven
  • Very good communication skills
  • Willingness to travel internationally
